This game runs ten rounds, not an endless streak, and the reason is the data rather than a design preference — see below. Your score is out of ten, which means it is worth comparing with someone else’s.

Why ten rounds and not endless
The pool is thirty videos. That is not a limitation we chose — it is the length of the list that exists.
The underlying data is Wikipedia’s List of most-viewed YouTube videos, whose main table holds the top thirty. An endless streak over thirty items would start repeating within a dozen rounds, and a game that recycles its pool while calling itself endless is misleading about what it is.
Ten rounds with no repeats is the honest shape for a thirty-item dataset. It also makes scores directly comparable between players, which an endless streak never is.
Where the numbers come from
View totals come from Wikipedia’s List of most-viewed YouTube videos, and the article revision we read is recorded in the panel beside these rules, along with the date we captured it.
The article states that its totals are rounded to the nearest ten million views. That rounding is why a tie counts as a correct answer here: two videos genuinely tens of millions of views apart can arrive at the same rounded figure, and ending someone’s run on the source’s precision would be unfair.
View counts only ever climb, which means a snapshot of this list gets progressively easier for anyone who follows YouTube. That is exactly the kind of quiet decay this directory tracks across every game it lists, so we hold ourselves to the same standard: the capture date is on the page, next to the score.
